16  Finalists Selected for The Engine Room 2019: International Sound Art Competition

Entries were judged by an award winning panel of judges including award winning composers and sound artists Scanner (British artist Robin Rimbaud), Kate Carr, and Eduard Solaz (Iklectik Art Lab), Camilo Salazar, and Matthew Gardner (Morley College – The Engine Room).

Selected works will be eligible for a number of prizes and have been invited to exhibit and/or perform in a public exhibition at IKLECTIK Art Lab in London, 5-24 October 2019.

The Engine Room is pleased to announce its third international sound art competition for emerging sound artists.

The Engine Room is currently inviting entries to its third international sound art competition. The competition will celebrate some of the best new work from emerging sound artists from around the world. This year’s competition and events are organised in collaboration with IKLECTIK to celebrate their 5th anniversary.

The competition invites the submission of new sound art – including audio (multi-channel works are encouraged for this edition) and audio-visual pieces, interactive works and performances, installations, sound sculptures and graphic scores – by 15 September 2019.

The deadline for entries is 15 September 2019. Successful entrants will be notified by the end of September 2019.
