”If there is anything interesting in composing - with or without computers - is the opportunity to deal with abstract concepts while manipulating concrete material. In particular, computer-based compositional systems provide extended control over sound properties and aspects of musical structure presenting the opportunity to merge those two into new musical forms.”

7qaMvX (working title) is the third audiovisual performance by Pandelis Diamantides under the pseudonym Microseq.

A digital granary of processed instrumental and electronic sounds, field recordings, rock formations, plants, animals, swarms unfolds a narrative of becoming (αιώνιο γίγνεσθαι).

The prime material of 7qaMvX consists of live recordings of viola da gamba manipulated and deconstructed through a complex network of algorithms and various digital signal processing units dissolved in an imagery of photographs and algorithmically processed visual material collected around the Troodos* mountain range in Cyprus.
