Warnings Graphic Score

The landscape and fabric of London is being remade. From Whitechapel to Battersea pieces of city are disappearing daily. This graphic score is the changing city rendered as soundscape. Mapped lights become connected points in space, the abstract points form the graphics. A cityscape viewed from Tower Hamlets remade as a sequence of violin solos or one continuous landscape. The buildings inform the phrases. The horizon line becomes the median for the stave. There is positive and negative building space rendered in the score. Glimpses of views or views obscured. Disappearing views or a view redrawn. The city reimagined. In performance the player is to determine the speed, all dynamics, use of harmonics and extended techniques. It is a piece in four sections or a linear whole, for performance in the concert space or any London building site.
