The Engine Room Presents: ITCH an evening showcasing performances by students from the newly created Experimental Music Performance course at Morley College. Featuring a range of solo and group performances ITCH will present diverse approaches to creating, working and thinking about sound, blending pitch and noise; electronic and acoustic; and improvised and composed.
The Experimental Music Performance course and the ITCH concert aim to continue the legacy of experimental music teaching, and approaches to organisation and performance pioneered by The Scratch Orchestra started by Cornelius Cardew at Morley College in the late 1960’s.
