Dusk Till Dawn

Jukebox selection

Dusk Till Dawn is a exploration of time and space. Emulating the idea that at night our perception of sound and sight are slightly altered, sonic transformations of natural and artifical sounds are used to create sonic impressions somewhere in between the known and unknown. The juxtaposition of opposing sonic gestures (natural and environmental sound sources opposing electronic transformations) act as an additional sonic source of tension. By considering the typo- and spatio-morphology of the materials employed as well as their degree of source bonding, a sense of space is constructed. The organisation of sonic material in respect to their sonic textures aims to introduce a narrative arc: a sonic journey from dusk till dawn.
